To the right is how Midge originally looked, in her original package. When I first started customizing her, my original intent was to make her a fairy. As I was creating her, I kept hearing the song "Collective Heart" by Happy Rhodes in my head. It took me a period of many months to make this doll primarily because I didn't always have time to work on her. During these months I happened to get the chance to see Happy (for my first time) in concert. I had the chance to meet her and get her autograph. The next day I had time to sit and work again on the doll. When I looked at her, I realized that she reminded me a lot of Happy. No, Happy does not wear all this makeup and funky garb, but I felt like the doll had a "Happy-ness" about her... so she is now my custom Happy Rhodes Doll named "Collective Heart".
