What happens to our spirit when our body dies? I like to believe that we move on, we have a new life to go to and in that new life, we are still connected with those we left behind. We are aware of their lives just as if we were still living, only more so.

I also believe that those spirits who have moved on to the other side visit with us. They like to see what we're doing, where our lives are taking us. They still want to be a part of it, in some way.

My father passed away in December of 1999. Just six weeks later, his first grandchild, my daughter, was born. My family always felt that Dad was around after he died. I like to think that he watches over my daughter, protecting her. In December we celebrated her first Christmas at my mother's house, and Dad let us know he was there. He showed up in this picture, right above my daughter's head. Here his spirit is showing us a purple/pinkish swirling circle that even seems to have a smiley face in it.

This is the first physical proof to me that his spirit is with us. I will share more photos below. All photos were taken with a digital camera. None are "doctored".
